Parent/Player Agreement

In order to ensure a productive and rewarding soccer experience for each player in the Flagstaff Soccer Club, the Club requires all players and parents to adhere to some basic rules and principles. Although this agreement does not cover all of the potential issues that may arise, it does address a number of core concerns. All players and parents are required to read and sign this agreement. Please discuss any questions you may have with the Coach.

1.      In order to promote FSC and team unity and to establish a positive club and team identity, each player and parent in the Club is expected to conduct themselves professionally and in a manner respectful of other players on their team, other players in the Club, the Coaches, the referees, spectators and the opposing players, parents and coaches.
2.      FSC parents and players will:
a.       Conduct themselves in a proper and socially acceptable manner.
b.      Exhibit behavior that supports the health, safety and well being of others.
c.       Provide a drug, tobacco and alcohol free environment.
d.      Refrain from the use of profanity, offensive language and ethnic or religious slurs.
e.       Abide by local, city and state laws, rules, regulations and ordinances.
f.       Abstain from any type of conduct intended to humiliate or intimidate others.
3.      Each player is expected to dress in appropriate FSC soccer attire.
4.      The player and the parents must ensure that the player attends all team functions on time, including practices, meetings, scrimmages and games. At times there may be illness, injury or unavoidable conflicts which make it impossible for a player to attend a team function. In such cases, the team coach must be given timely notice of the conflict and the reason why the player will miss or be late for the event. Failure to give timely notice may affect the player’s playing time. The inability to attend practice may also affect a player’s ability to progress and contribute at the same level as those showing up for practice.
5.      Any player possessing or using drugs, alcohol, cigarettes or any other illegal substance, or acting under the influence of drugs or alcohol while participating on behalf of FSC in a game, practice, event or activity, will be immediately suspended by the Club. Following an investigation by the D & R Committee the player may be suspended for a longer period or removed from the club entirely, without right of refund of fees or fees paid. Any police arrest or conviction of a player for the use of drugs or alcohol will result in the immediate suspension and possible removal of the player from the Club.
6.      Any parent possessing or using alcohol or illegal drugs, or acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs at any FSC game, meeting, or other function will be immediately removed from the event and may, upon further review by the D & R Committee, be suspended from the Club.
